       Govt. of Maharashtra established ITI in Maharashtra for providing vocational education for the boys & girls student to get them, employment & self employment opportunities. In ITI Sangola  Dist-Solapur is one of those fifteen ITI established in 1997. Since then, vocational education has been provided to thousands of boys & girls to become self reliant.
            The Institute is situated in the heart of the Sangola Taluka on Miraj- Pandharpur road .Dist-Solapur itself is known for its Agriculture & cultural activities. The Institute is providing trained craftsman to the growing Industry.

2]   Role of IMC

  • develop, THE IDP for THE ITI.  THE IDP shall define the long-term goals of the institute, the issues and challenges facing the institute and the strategies for dealing with them.  It shall set targets for institutional improvement, define key performance indicators, and detail the financial requirement with year wise break up to meet the needs.

  • obtain short term, medium term and long term requirement of skilled work force and take steps to produce graduates accordingly.

  • identify training needs of  faculty and depute them for training in associated industries/ other institutes.

  • ensure implementation of various activities of the scheme in time bound manner so as to adhere to the time schedule agreed in the IDP.

  •  monitor the progress of implementation of the scheme at the Institute level and furnish periodical   reports to the SSC.

  • set up  suitable mechanism to obtain feedback from the trainees and industry about quality of training and use the feedback for improvement in the training delivery.

  • set up  placement cells in THE ITI to guide/help the graduates in employment/self employment and  develop suitable sustainable mechanism to trace the careers of the  graduates for at least three years.

  • furnish periodical reports with respect to the placement as mentioned in sub para (vii) above to  THE SSC.

Testing & Certification Part

      

       The testing & certification for the CRAFTSMAN TRAINING SCHEME  will be conducted by NCVT.
       Training in specialized modules mainly in the industry (The course curricula, duration etc.will be designed in consultations with the IMC/local industry. The trade testing & certification for this component will be done jointly by the State Government & Industry. Said certificate will be recognized by NCVT

Admission Criterion

Conventional Trades

            Admission to ITI is given strictly on merit basis government of Maharashtra has framed the Rules of Admission wide G.R. No. ITI-1002/Pra.kra-51/VE-2 Dated 30th April 2002.. As per rules there is a reservation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/NT/and OBC. There is also reservation for physically handicapped, students passing with SSC technical, children /wards of project affected person and ex/in-service defence personnel. Admission forms are accepted within period of 10 days in respective ITIs after the declaration of SSC results.

Training Fee

Following training fee which includes cost of material, honorarium, etc. has been prescribed:
I. Rs.500 per module for modules having duration upto 90 hrs.

II. Rs.1000 per module for modules having duration from 91 to 180 hrs.

III. Rs.1500 per module for modules having duration from 181 hrs to 270 hrs.

IV. Rs.2000 per module for modules having duration more than 270 hrs.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST category and women will be given relaxation of 25% in fee. In order to motivate trainees to take the training programme seriously, training fees of all those trainees who successfully complete the training would be refunded to them. The fee structure has been prescribed initially for one year and if required, the Apex Committee may revise the training fee.

Certificate

Successful persons will be awarded certificates issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). The Assessing Bodies will send the list of successful candidates along with marks statement to respective Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training (RDAT) under DGE&T for issue of certificates. RDAT will issue certificates to the Assessing Bodies for dispatching to successful candidates by giving the details of competencies possessed by the trainee

Lokseva Kendra

Due to L.P.G. Policy of government lots of unemployment accured in the industrial sector and lots of iti trained youth became unemployed therefore to generate some employment through  utilizing iti’s infrastructure effectively by these unemployed youth, Training those people in specific skills  in short duration & in reasonable  fees and make efficient and effective use of  ideal machines available in iti’s  Government of Maharashtra had introduced this scheme with G.R. No.iti/(2)/(98)/voc.edu.2Mantralaya Mumbai 32.

 

MAGEL TYALA VYAVSAY PRASHISHKAN (TRAINING ON DEMAND)

Objectives

To uplift the poor and socially backward(S.C.,V.J.,N.T.) youth, Which is outside of vocational edu. & very early droop out from high school education, Maharashtra Govt. introduced this scheme  to all ITI’s  in maharashtra with G.R. No.

Highlights Of Scheme

1. Cost free training to S.C.,V.J.,N.T. & S.B.C.youth.

2. Stipend of Rs.100/ Trainee.

3. Tool Kit  worth Rs. 1000/  Trainee in service sector tade.

4. Free Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp of two days for all trainee.
