About Us
Govt. of Maharashtra established ITI in Maharashtra for providing vocational education for the boys & girls student to get them, employment & self employment opportunities. In ITI Shirur Dist-Pune is one which is established in 1999. Since then, vocational education has been provided to thousands of boys & girls to become self reliant.
The Institute was started in the year 1999 with intake capacity of 48 seats in 03 trades. In future the institute have intake capacity of above 544 seats in 5 year, 12 different trades and Institute will work in two shifts . This institute established as per G.R. NO.ITI/1099/(1110)VYASHI-1,MUMBAI400032 on dt. 15/02/99.

2] Role of IMC
1) Develop the IDP for the ITI. The IDP shall define the long term goals o fthe institute the issue and challenge facing the institute and the strategies for dealing with them it shall set target for institutional improvement define key performance indicator and detail the financial requirement with year wise break up to meet the needs.
2) Obtain short Term, Medium Term Long Term requirement of skill work force and take step to produce gradually accordingly.
3) Identify Training needs to faculty and depute them for training in associated Industries.
4) Ensure implementation of various activities of the scheme in the time bound manner so as to adhere to the time schedule agreed in the IDP.
5) Monitor the Progress of implementation of the Scheme at the institute level and furnish periodical reports to the SSC.
6) Setup suitable mechanism to obtain feedback from the trainees and industry about the quality of training and use the feed back for improvement in the training delivery.
7) Setup placement cell in the ITI to guide / help the graduates in employment and develop suitable sustainable mechanism to trace the career of the graduatesor at leas three years.
8) Furnish periodic report with respect to the placement as maintained in sub para (7) above the SSC.
9) Determine the admission in the ITI up to 20% as provided.

Testing & Certification Part
The testing
& certification for the Basic skill training during first year &
also for advanced training during next six months will be conducted by
NCVT.
Training in specialized modules mainly in the industry (The course
curricula, duration etc.will be designed in consultations with the
IMC/local industry. The trade testing & certification for this
component will be done jointly by the State Government & Industry.
Said certificate will be recognized by NCVT

Admission Criterion
Conventional Trades
Admission to ITI is given strictly on merit basis
government of Maharashtra has framed the Rules of Admission wide G.R. No.
ITI-1002/Pra.kra-51/VE-2 Dated 30th April 2002.. As per rules there is a
reservation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/NT/and OBC. There is also
reservation for physically handicapped, students passing with SSC
technical, children /wards of project affected person and ex/in-service
defence personnel. Admission forms are accepted within period of 10 days
in respective ITIs after the declaration of SSC results.
