\n \n <\/i>\n Objectives\n <\/span>\n <\/h2>\n <\/div>\r\n

\r\n Industrial and Economic liberalisation policy is adopted in India. Indian companies are facing tough competition with the foreign multi- national companies. The public as well as private sector is going through large-scale recession. This lead to unemployment problem and gave raise to great unrest and frustration among the educated unemployed. ITI pass outs are facing severe unemployment problem. The only solution is self-employment.\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n

\r\n In order to reduce the problem of unemployment among the youth, Government of Maharashtra has issued a G. R. to meet these objectives and introduced the scheme LOKSEVA KENDRA YOJANA from July 2002. The scheme is being implemented quite effectively and successfully.\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n

\r\n Out of 369 Government ITIs in Maharashtra 337 ITIs have established LOKSEVA KENDRA. A separate furnished office with telephone facility is provided in these ITIs for the functioning of the LOKSEVA KENDRA. \r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n

\r\n Highlight of the scheme are, There is no entry qualification for trainees, there is no age bar-and the candidates are trained in various Vocational trades having duration of 15 days to 3 months. In these ITIs Common Facility Centers are also made available for these trained trainees in which they can utilize existing infrastructure available in the Institute. Various services are offered with reasonable charges to the citizens by unemployed candidates. Out of total labour charges gained, 90% charges are distributed among the candidates and Institute only charge 10% overhead charges. They also form Seva Societies and take up the work from the work market. Some of the important works are enlisted below. \r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n\n

    \n \n <\/i>\n Short Term Courses\n <\/span>\n <\/h2>\n <\/div>\r\n

    Also Employment Self-employment Oriented short – term courses are conducted for dropouts from the school education and even for illiterates with reasonable fees. For admission, there is no age limit condition. <\/p><\/div>\r\n
