This Department was made responsible to administer &#038; control various activities pertaining to Engineering Colleges, Technological Institutes, Polytechnics, Industrial Training Institutes, Industrial School, Technical School, Government Industrial Training Workshops &#038; other Certificate Courses concerned with Vocational &#038; Technical Training. In addition to this, the responsibility of Post Graduate Courses &#038; Research was also shouldered by this Department. <\/p><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\nSince the last four decades the activities of various programmes under the Directorate of Technical Education have increased tremendously &#038; in order to meet the skilled manpower requirement, the training activities have been increased by way of Starting new Government as well as Private institutes in the Maharashtra. In order to have a smooth functioning of these activities the Directorate of Technical Education is bifurcated in two separate Directorates namely <\/p><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemes_subtitle\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #993300\">Directorate of Technical Education,<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemes_subtitle\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #993300\">Directorate of Vocational Education &#038; Training<\/span><\/strong><\/em> <\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\nThe administrative responsibilities in respect of Craftsman Training Scheme ( Industrial Training Institutes), Government Industrial Training Workshops, Vocationalization of Education at +2 stage, Technical Education at Secondary level &#038; Certificate &#038; allied Vocational Courses are entrusted with the Directorate of Vocational Education &#038; Training.\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\nDirectorate Of Vocational Education &#038; Training ( DVET ) has been established in 1984 to organize &#038; co-operate Technical Education activities at all levels.\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>The activities of the Directorate of Vocational Education &#038; Training cover : <\/p><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\r\n<li>Pre-Vocational Education the Secondary level,<\/li>\r\n<li>Vocational Courses at +2 stage\r\na. Bifocal Vocational Courses\r\nb. H.S.C. Vocational Courses <\/li>\r\n<li>Certificate courses of Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Examination,<\/li>\r\n<li>Craftsman Training Courses,<\/li>\r\n<li>Apprenticeship Courses under the Apprentices Act, 1961,<\/li>\r\n<li>Government Technical High School \/ Center cum Industrial Schools,<\/li>\r\n<li>Part &#8211; Time classes for Industrial Work,<\/li>\r\n<li>Advanced Vocational Training Scheme<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>Vocational Courses at +2 stage under centrally sponsored Scheme has been introduced in the state since 1988-89. Now number of Institutes running these courses are increased &#038; to have smooth function &#038; control of this schemes, two separate posts of Directors have been created from March 1998 as <\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\r\n<li>Director of Vocational Training,<\/li>\r\n<li>Director of Vocational Education<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\nAt State Government Level, all these schemes were monitored by Department of Higher &#038; Technical Education. Now these schemes are monitored by Department of Skill Development &#038; Entrepreneurship.\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\nAt Central Government Level, these schemes under Director, Training are monitored by Ministry of Labour &#038; Employment, DGT, New Delhi. Whereas schemes under Director, Vocational Education are monitored by Ministry of Human Resource Department, New Delhi.\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p> The activities of the Directors are as under<\/p><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemes_subtitle\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><em>1. Director of Training<\/em><\/span><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\r\n<li>Craftsman Training Scheme,<\/li>\r\n<li>Apprenticeship Training Scheme<\/li>\r\n<li>Advanced Vocational Training Scheme,<\/li>\r\n<li>Evening Classes for Industrial Workers,<\/li>\r\n<li>All subjects related to training,\r\na. Lokseva Kendra Yojana\r\nb. Magel Tyala Vyavasay Prashikshan\r\nc. Artizen to Techno-Crat\r\nd. Center of Excellence\r\ne. Generalization of Vocational Education &#038; Training for Scheduled Tribe candidates in the Tribal Areas\r\nf. Production Oriented Scheme\r\ng. MES Scheme<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemes_subtitle\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">2. Director of Vocational Education<\/span><\/em><\/div>\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\r\n<li>Pre &#8211; Vocational Education at Secondary levels,<\/li>\r\n<li>Vocational Courses at +2 stage\r\na. Bifocal Vocational Courses,\r\nb. H.S.C. Vocational Courses<\/li>\r\n<li>Certificate Courses of Maharashtra State Examination Board of Vocational Examination,<\/li>\r\n<li>Employment &#038; Self &#8211; Employment Scheme,<\/li>\r\n<li>All subjects related to Vocational Education<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\nWith reference to Government Resolution No. \u0935\u094d\u092f\u0936\u093f\u0905 -\u0968\u0966\u0967\u096c\/(\u096d\u096d\/\u0967\u096c)\u0935\u094d\u092f\u0936\u093f-\u0967, Dt. 23\/06\/2016, Only one post of Director is in place. Now Directorate of Vocational Education &#038; Training has one post of Director, named as Director, Vocational Education &#038; Training.\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\nSince 1984, following Honourable Directors have given their valuable contribution for the effective implementation of Vocational Education &#038; Training Schemes :\r\n<\/p><\/div>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"schemescontent\"><p>\r\n<ul class=\"sul_default\">\r\n<li>Shri.
