- Requisition for writing materials and their preservation and distribution.

- Information regarding the proceedings of the Legislative Session.
- Regarding telephone calls from officers in the Directorate, newspaper allowance approval.
- Handling Right to Information cases.
- Issuance of group insurance scheme approval orders after retirement of employees/officers at headquarters.
- Handling Lokayukta/State Information Commission cases.
- Action taken regarding obtaining government accommodation.
- Handling cases of sexual harassment of women.
- Taking action regarding issuing stability certificates to local level officers/employees.
- All types of retirement cases.
- Handling medical verification/ character verification/ caste verification cases of newly appointed employees.
- Regarding deputation of officers/employees of the headquarters for the work of elections/Union Public Service Commission/Maharashtra Public Service Commission examinations.
- To provide State Awards to Teachers/Directors of Industrial Training Institutes/Government Technical Schools.
- To record all incoming and outgoing mail from the government.
- Distributing various stationery and maintaining records of them.
- Issuance of additional work orders and special salary approval orders for employees.
- Taking notes from biometric attendance of Class-3 officers/employees.

- Salary determination of officers/employees of the Directorate.
- Making complete arrangements for meetings on work-related matters.
- Confidential reports of local officials/employees and correspondence regarding the same.
- Action taken by Class-3 and Class-4 employees’ (local) unions on their demands.
- To collect information about all backward class officers/employees in the Directorate and prepare its data.
- To take action to check the caste validity certificate of all backward class officers/employees in the Directorate and to take notes of the caste validity certificate if it has been submitted and preserve the records.
- To take appropriate action to avoid delay in promotion of backward class officers/employees in the Directorate and to ensure their proper promotion or other government benefits.
- To update and certify the point list of officers/employees of all cadres from Group C to D.
- Handling of promotions/retirements/transfers/grievances of Backward Class employees/officers.
- Submission of demand letter to Maharashtra Public Service Commission (Class 3 employees at headquarters).
Local Procurement Repair and Stores Department, (Maintenance)
- Managing all matters falling under the purview of the Directorate’s Stores Department.
- To complete the process of locally purchasing the stationery and other office supplies required and requested by the Directorate and its offices.
- To enter into annual maintenance contracts/service facility contracts for computers, printers, digital multifunctional copiers, scanners and other equipment available in the Directorate.
- Entering into an annual maintenance agreement for the telephone system in the Directorate.
- To take appropriate action for the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment in the Directorate.
- Taking action by making agreements regarding pest control in the Directorate.
- Entering into agreements for cartridge refilling and recycling of laser printers in the Directorate.
- Review and write off the machinery and equipment in the warehouse department as per the rules.
- To purchase computers, printers, scanners, digital multifunction copiers, Xerox machines as per the requirement of the Directorate’s offices.
- Purchasing materials required by the Directorate as per the price contract or by issuing price lists.
- To make available manpower for the Directorate on contractual basis for sweepers, drivers and future manpower as per the rate sheet/tender process.
- Purchase of stationery, equipment and cleaning supplies for the Directorate.
- Purchase of necessary computer peripherals in the Directorate.
- Purchasing necessary furniture for the Directorate.
- Repairing furniture as per government rules.
- Purchase of tubes and other electrical materials required in the Directorate.
- Properly distributing computers, printers, scanners, digitizer multifunctional machines, Xerox machines, fax machines purchased in the Directorate (as per requirement and demand). It should be recorded in the material collection book, certified and recorded in the allocation register in the name of the officer/employee using the material for personal use.
- Handling the transfer of duties in the Directorate.
- To register annual demand from all offices regarding stationery and other necessary office supplies purchased in the Directorate.
- Proper planning and distribution of purchased materials.
- To get the materials required by the Directorate and used on a daily basis printed from the Government Printing Office, e.g. file covers, instruction sheets, separate sheets, information booklets, etc.
- To enter into a maintenance agreement for the upkeep and smooth running of all the air conditioning (AC) systems operating in the Directorate.
- Vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Xerox machine purchase and maintenance.
- Register the purchase requisition for strengthening the Directorate with Office No. 12.
- Correspondence with the Public Works Department.
- Submitting a requisition to the Government Printing Office.
