Vigilance and Investigation Department

  • In accordance with the complaints received against the officers in the Gazette Nos. 2230, 2203, an inquiry committee shall be appointed at the Directorate level to investigate the issues raised by the complainant in the complaint issue-wise and submit an inquiry report.
  • To report the complaint received to the Regional Office for investigation into the complaints received by the officers in the Gazette Nos. 2230 and 2203.
  • Submission of the inquiry report submitted by the Regional Office/inquiry report submitted by the Inquiry Officer to the Hon’ble Director.
  • If there are any errors in the inquiry report submitted by the regional office/investigation officer, the said error should be corrected and the inquiry report should be submitted.
  • In accordance with the inquiry report submitted by the Regional Office/Inquiry Officer, to prepare charges against the relevant responsible officers regarding the administrative/financial/irregularities prima facie proven in the inquiry report and submit them to the Government.
  • Handling departmental inquiries of officers in the Gazette Nos. 2230, 2203.
  • Handling court cases in departmental inquiry cases.
  • To submit a proposal to the government to suspend the officials concerned after they are caught red-handed while accepting bribes by the Anti-Corruption Officer in the Gazette Nos. 2230 and 2203.
  • To take action regarding issuance of non-departmental inquiry certificate for appointment to other departments of gazetted officers on retirement/assumed advancement scheme/retirement/regular service.
  • Submitting information to the Government on the questions/starred questions/unstarred questions raised in the Legislative Assembly on matters related to the work.
  • Under the Central Government Right to Information Act-2005, when the applicant requests information related to this work, action will be taken to provide the available information to the concerned applicant.
  • Resolving complaints received on the Government’s PG portal.
  • Resolving complaints received on the government’s Aaple Sarkar portal.
  • To submit the report requested by the Office of the Hon’ble Public Commissioner/Deputy Public Commissioner in connection with the work of the office.
