Law and Justice Department
- To handle all court cases of the Directorate and under the jurisdiction of the Directorate in which the Directorate is involved and to file affidavits in the Hon’ble Court accordingly.
- Handling notices or appeals from the Hon’ble High Court and other judicial offices.
- To handle cases filed in the Hon’ble Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Khandpeeth, Mumbai and Nagpur and to take all necessary action in this regard.
- Handling all cases from the Labor Court
- To take all necessary steps to file an appeal or file a review.
- Attendance or appointment of representatives for hearings of judges/MATs related to the Directorate
- Preparing and sending necessary and requested information for judicial cases/MAT cases from the Ministry level.
- To provide relevant documents and prepare information as requested by the government prosecutor appointed for the hearings held at the Supreme Court and High Courts, and to appear for these hearings or appoint representatives.
- If necessary, the Directorate shall make full preparations for filing a legal case, file the case and follow up on it.
- Disposing of pending court cases at the Directorate level and in the offices under the Directorate and issuing guidelines in this regard.
- Conduct monthly and annual review of cases resolved in the Directorate and subordinate offices.
- All matters related to Right to Information Act 2005 and Lokayukta matters.
- Handling legislative related matters.
- Work related to Lokayukta/State Information Commission
- Complete court proceedings regarding non-governmental organizations.
