- Sending a direct service request.
- Handling pension matters of retired officers.
- Maharashtra Public Service Commission Reference Service Entry Rules.
- State training policy for officers.
- All cases falling under Maharashtra Civil Services Rules.
- Assured Progress Plan.
- Work related to disabilities.
- Taking action regarding caste validity certificate of officers.
- Issuance of permanent certificates to officers.
- Right to Information Act 2005.
- Making complete arrangements for meetings on work-related matters.
- Handling confidential reports and correspondence regarding them.
- Handling of human data issues.
- Handling of anti-vigilance cases.
- Approval of the selection list for promotion.
- Handling of periodic and request transfer cases.
- Testing for eligibility disqualification in service after 50/55.
- All gazetted officers at the state level Seniority List, Divisional Promotion Committee meetings.
- To collect information of all backward class officers in the institutions/offices under the Directorate and prepare its data.
- To take action to verify the caste validity certificate of all backward class officers in the institutions/offices under the jurisdiction of the Directorate and to take notes of the caste validity certificate if it has been submitted and preserve the records.
- To take appropriate action to avoid delay in promotion of all backward class officers in the institutions/offices under the Directorate and to ensure their proper promotion or other government benefits.
- Updating and certifying the point list of officers in Group A and B (Tech/Non Tech) cadres.
- Handling of promotions/retirements/transfers/grievances of Backward Class officers.
- To issue instructions regarding establishment of divisional/district level/backward class cells in all the offices under the Directorate and to control these cells and resolve the problems of backward class officers.
- To check whether all the posts reserved for backward class officers in all the offices under the Directorate are filled properly and as per the prescribed rules or not. To make recommendations to the Government with necessary instructions regarding filling of vacant posts.
- Handling information related to the proceedings of the Legislative Session.
- All matters related to Lokayukta/State Information Commission.
- Review of Group A to D posts.
