MoU Highlights

a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, as an Industry and Technology partner, aiming to equip more than 16000 faculty and 800000 students across 766 ITI/ITC and 3516 vocational education schools with key technical skills and eventually help improve employability in the country. Signed for an initial period of three years, the MoUs reaffirm the significance of Public Private Partnerships (PPP) in boosting skill development. The MoU for this partnership was signed between Vijay Kumar Gautam,IAS, Commissioner, Employment, Self Employment, Skill Development and Director(Training), GoM and George Abraham, Sr. Manager, Education, Worldwide Emerging Markets, Autodesk Asia Pvt Ltd, at a function held in ITI, Aundh, Pune on 16th January, 2013.

As a part of the tie-up, Autodesk will act as an industry and technology partner to improve technical education through a faculty-centric approach. The engagement areas will include: Electronic download access to discipline specific education software suites which include flagship products like AutoCAD, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil 3D as well as many other Autodesk Software products to all Government and Private Industrial Training Institutes in the state. The partnership entails Courseware Development, Faculty training and Immersive learning programs for Students including Design Competitions. The courses will include advanced technologies with particular focus on the manufacturing, architecture, engineering and construction sectors.

Directorates collaboration with Autodesk creates a huge opportunity for all vocational students in the State to meet international standards in engineering, giving them a competitive advantage for global employment and faculty members stay abreast of the latest engineering technology and pedagogy, including current and future industry standards and global expectations in the engineering field.
